Leaving the familiar behind and embracing the unknown is never an easy decision. For me, it was a leap of faith that took me from the comfortable shores of Florida to the enchanting land of Egypt, ultimately leading to a transformative journey that would redefine the course of my life. Little did I know that this decision would become the catalyst for a series of extraordinary experiences, introducing me to different cultures and diverse landscapes and the realization of a lifelong dream.

Before making the decision to become an expat and international teacher in Egypt, my travel experiences were limited to a handful of states and one international destination. The prospect of leaving everything behind to embark on a new chapter in a foreign country was simultaneously thrilling and terrifying. However, deep down, I knew that this was the adventure my soul craved.

Upon arriving in Egypt, I was on a rollercoaster of experiences that surpassed my wildest expectations. The initial culture shock was soon replaced by awe as I embraced the rich history, vibrant traditions, and warm hospitality of the Egyptian people. Little did I know that this move would be the first domino in a series of adventures that would take me to Morocco, Spain, Italy, France, Malta, Jordan, Lebanon, Greece, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bahrain, the U.A.E., and Indonesia.

While in Egypt, amidst the ancient pyramids and bustling markets, I felt a God guiding me toward a new dream. The idea for Around the World with KoKo was born, a series that would encapsulate the essence of my travels and share the world's beauty with others. Excitement fueled my pen, but self-doubt soon crept in. What did I know about publishing, promoting, or marketing a book?
Overcoming Challenges
The journey to bring my dream to life was not without its challenges. I faced bumps in the road and shed a few tears lol questioning my abilities and the validity of my dream. However, the desire to share my experiences and inspire others prevailed, and seven years after receiving that divine inspiration, the first book in the Around the World with KoKo series came to fruition.
